My name is George Rome Innes, I have lived in North Kingston for 50 years and am a member of the Kingston upon Thames Society.
I will not again dwell on the detail of the Townscape, Visual Impact and Built Heritage Assessment September 2015, but I will reiterate that the images are in many cases true but deeply misleading and the conclusions set out therein are semantically dishonest.
This invalidates the whole ‘consultation process’.
There is a very strong local opposition to the tower block, and merely reducing its height bit by bit does not in any way resolve the overall issue It is pointless going back again and again to the same deeply flawed scheme. A totally new review of the development of this Eden Quarter of Kingston needs to be undertaken, producing a project that is economically viable and in tune with the wishes of the residents and ratepayers of Kingston.
You are our elected Councilors and it is your responsibility to reflect our views. We ask you, and indeed I am not too proud to plead with you to reject this scheme totally.
